I hadn&#039;t thought of this technique in that context before, but I can see why you did. I also wholeheartedly agree that more critical thinking should be taught in primary school.</description>

[1] it resists premature solutions
[2] it has many of the benefits of the &quot;5 Whys&quot; technique (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/5_Whys) which I personally think is such an effective critical thinking technique that it should be taught at primary school
[3] it also resolves some of the listed limitations of the &quot;5 Whys&quot; technique such as &quot;Inability to go beyond the investigator&#039;s current knowledge&quot;
